Why does the cutter hit the nail?

Frequent causes:

• Cutter speed too high.
• In order for the nozzle to rotate smoothly at high speed, a device of sufficient power is needed. If it is “weak”, slippage and sharp rebounds will be obtained when trying to work at high speeds.
• The router handle should not be too cheap, that is, the clamping mechanism should be of high quality.
• The tool is worn out. In this case, it will slip, bounce off the surface, injure. It is better to replace it with a new one or use another one suitable for its intended purpose.
• Perhaps the nozzle fell or hit, while slightly bent. Then its balance shifts, and during rotation it begins to hit the treated area.
• Poorly centered cutters.
